Turn is not an abstract word, it must fall into some specific life language.

Many people get nervous when they see "retrograde station" or "forward station". A more helpful understanding is: Retrograde station is not bad, and direct station does not automatically become better, but the processing and advancement methods are different. One forces you to look back and understand things, and the other gives you the opportunity to move forward with new understanding.

After clarifying this sense of direction, you will know better what you should look back on now and what you should put down again.

Retrograde and direct stations describe an apparent change in a planet's motion from an Earth-based viewpoint. Imagine Venus retrograde crossing the second-house ruler while a client is revising pricing. The evidence connects values, money, self-worth, and an existing negotiation. The person may return to an old rate, discover missing costs, and then choose a clearer offer; a breakup is not implied. Compare the first decision, the retrograde review, and the direct follow-through. If the same issue appears in documents, conversations, and choices, the timing technique has a coherent process to describe; if only anxiety changes, keep the claim internal and provisional. This protects the interpretation from treating every calendar contact as an external event.
