A Ziwei major cycle describes the setting in which natal patterns are tested for roughly ten years. It can move attention toward a home field such as Career, Wealth, Relationship, or Migration, and it can change the roles, institutions, resources, and obligations through which a person must act. “This decade is lucky” is too vague to guide a choice. A useful reading names the stage task, the capacity it requires, the cost it creates, and the strategy that can be reviewed. A major cycle activates a structure; it does not replace the natal chart or promise a fixed result.

Start with the major-cycle Life Palace and ask what real-life arena is becoming the stage. A Career arena may emphasize role, authority, delivery, and institutional exchange; a Wealth arena may emphasize income, liquidity, debt, and reserves; a Relationship arena may emphasize commitment, repair, consent, and shared resources. The palace is not a personality label. A cycle that places attention on Migration does not automatically mean emigration; it may mean clients, public visibility, travel, market change, or dependence on external feedback.

Read the main star as an operating verb and auxiliaries as conditions. A major cycle led by Tianji may require analysis, learning, adjustment, and repeated redesign; one led by Wuqu may require pricing, accounting, execution, and firm boundaries; one led by Pojun may require controlled restructuring rather than dramatic destruction. Difficult stars can add speed, scrutiny, conflict, or repair cost. The stage task is not “become the star.” It is to recognize the work pattern and build the capacity that lets the pattern land safely.

A cycle palace cannot be read in isolation. Three Parties and Four Uprightnesses show supply, counterpart, and recovery; the opposite palace can reveal the resource or obligation that limits the headline. A Career cycle may have authority but depend on Wealth reserves; a Wealth cycle may have access but rely on Migration clients; a Relationship cycle may require Family or Property support. The network changes the stage strategy. It tells you whether a promising arena has a bridge, a bottleneck, or a hidden maintenance cost.

When relevant, name where Hualu, Hua Quan, Hua Ke, and Hua Ji move in the major cycle. Hualu can show access or resource attraction, Hua Quan responsibility and decision rights, Hua Ke visibility and explanation, and Hua Ji attachment, blockage, debt, contradiction, or repair. Do not attach every transformation to every event. If Hua Quan enters Career but the network lacks staff, the decade may increase authority faster than capacity. If Hua Ji flows from Migration to Wealth, external opportunity may carry collection or trust cost. The source and destination produce a more useful stage plan than a simple lucky label.

Natal structure is the baseline; the major cycle is the decade-long environment that activates or tests it; the annual layer supplies shorter triggers such as a deadline, offer, review, dispute, purchase, or repair. A difficult major cycle may make a natal skill necessary rather than cancel it. An annual opportunity can open a door, but it still has to pass through the decade’s capacity and the natal pattern. Write the hierarchy explicitly so a short annual signal does not become a permanent identity or erase the actual stage task.

Imagine a fictional chart entering a Career major cycle. The cycle Life Palace is supported by Tianji, with Wenchang adding documentation and a difficult star increasing review pressure. The cycle’s Three Parties connect Career to Wealth and Migration; the opposite palace shows family time is limited. Hua Quan enters Career, while Hua Ji flows from Migration into Career. Natal structure shows strong analysis but a habit of accepting too many parallel projects. Palace first: the decade is about management scope, not simply getting a better title. Star next: Tianji requires redesign and learning; Wenchang requires written operating rules. Network next: authority can be funded by Wealth, but external stakeholders increase review cost and family capacity is the constraint. Timing: the first annual layer brings a promotion window, while the second brings an audit. The stage strategy is to accept the role only with a team plan, decision boundaries, documented priorities, and protected recovery time; review the plan after the audit. This is a ten-year capacity test, not a promise that every year will be easy.

Compare two readings of the same difficult Career cycle. “Ten bad years” hides whether the pressure is role growth, debt, external review, or a lack of support. A more precise reading may say: authority increases, but capacity and recovery must be built before expansion. Conversely, a favorable Wealth cycle can still produce trouble when access exceeds accounting, reserves, or consent from shared-resource partners. Empty or quiet evidence does not mean the stage has no theme; it means the conclusion should stay narrow and be checked against the network and real conditions.

Write the stage arena, task, main-star verb, auxiliary and difficult conditions, Three Parties, opposite palace, Four Transformations, natal baseline, annual triggers, required capacity, resource limit, boundary, counterexample, evidence, review date, and exit condition. Choose a bounded commitment: a role pilot, a reserve target, a training plan, a written responsibility matrix, a relationship agreement, or a staged market test. Verify through observable work, money, time, feedback, and repair behavior. Ziwei cannot replace medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, workplace, or emergency support and cannot guarantee outcomes. A major cycle becomes useful when it improves decisions, not when it creates ten years of fear.
